Osprey!!! Always thrilling to see these beautiful birds.

White pelican browsing on some green flora in the water. The bump on the bill is usually present in the breeding males.

Greater scaup on the bay.

Red-shouldered hawk - good place to see these birds as there is a resident pair that nests in the area every year.

An uncommon bird, but last winter and early spring a pair of these visitors were seen off of Porto Bodego, Bodega Bay

They swam in quite close, wonderfully.

Of course the long tail that they are known for is part of their breeding plumage. Where they breed, I'm not sure.

Also along the Bay, a red-tailed hawk on one of the utility poles.
