Still some tree swallow nest box activity in the park

Juvenile tree swallows hang out on some nearby trees, Shollenberger Park

A few American Avocets in the area, still in breeding plumage.

Lots of cliff swallows have nests in this park, here is one gathering mud from the shore for nest building.

Elsewhere in the county, here are some recent birds from Willowside Rd near Jenner and the russian river.

Wrentit, Willowside rd near Jenner - this is a very good location to see these birds, I almost always find them here.

I think this is an orange-crowned warbler, they have been sighted in this area.

Hooded Oriole nest, back yard, Cotati

Hooded Orioles are also known as Palm Orioles, since they make their nests in palm trees.

When I noticed a pair of hooded orioles near a friend's house, plus palm trees, I started looking for a nest.
