Being a winter bird, photo conditions are often dark; plus they tend to spring up quickly into the dark winter tree canopy. But a fun, worthwhile endeavor, such a beautiful bird.  Varied thrush, in the woods near Occidental  Mostly foraging on the ground, and eating all kinds of various worms and insects, I imagine, like this bird here.
