A friend's backyard in Cotati!!!!!

Adult barn owl - there were two adults and two youngsters, using a friends small redwood grove in her backyard as a daytime napping place.

This is the other adult barn owl, a little higher up in the tree - obviously a mated pair.

There were a total of four barn owls in the trees, two adults and two youngsters.

Also in the Cotati backyard, a hooded oriole nest in a tall palm tree - here is the male with bugs for the nest.

When the male oriole noticed my attention to it with the camera, it tried to lead me away from the nest.

There's also a robin"s nest in this yard! Here's the adult robin bringing a yummy selection of bugs and berries to its nest.
