December 2019 - Female Yellow-bellied sapsucker, Shiloh Ranch Regional Park, Windsor Rare bird sighting - at the time I didn't realize what this bird was, or I might have tried to pursue it for more photos! However it did seem very shy and flew off deeper into the woods as soon as it spotted me.

High in the dark canopy of the trees on the way back down the creek trail at Shiloh Regional Park, a small flock of golden-crowned kinglets - photo quality only good enough for a positive i.d. of these small, flighty birds.
