Lots of wildflowers still in the park, thanks to some rare recent rain.
Tree swallow nesting still active in Tolay Lake Regional Park, part of which involves defending the nest Seeing a red-shouldered hawk speeding away, pursued by a small bird, I could only tell when I got the photo enlarged on the computer, the small bird chasing the hawk was the little Tree Swallow!!! ![]() There were some Long billed curlews in the fields, eating what, I don't know! Barn swallows were active at the front of the park, where there are buildings - also involved in nesting! ![]() Lots of wildflowers still in the park, thanks to some rare recent rain.
